Switzerland & Liechtenstein Process Serving Services and Serving of Summons Services are our Premier Swiss Quality Services for our international and home clients. We understand your frustration and anguish if you can not find and serve the person of interest. Our division of Skip Tracing uses the latest technology, databases, and tracing skills to locate people and company information, and to serve them.
 
We are capable of providing the same week service for restraining orders, examination under oath (EUO), civil complaints and court orders. We can serve the defendant and provide the court and police department with proof of service. Furthermore, we always videotape or at the least take photos when serving the defendant in order to avoid any objections or disputes in court.

FORMAL SERVICE

Many countries are signatories to The Hague Service Convention (treaty) that governs service of process to be effected between participating nations; Switzerland is one of them. Service may be made by formal service through the Central Authority, which itself arranges for service by methods prescribed in that country. Documents to be served in accordance with this method must be translated into the official language of the country where the documents will be served. The time frame can range from 2 to 4 months (recently 2 months).

Advantage: Enforceable judgment.

Disadvantage: The time frame is generally longer than the informal method.
 

INFORMAL SERVICE

Not available in Switzerland (prohibited by Swiss law).
 

LETTERS ROGATORY

Not available in Switzerland.
 

TRANSLATIONS

Most countries require the documents to be translated into the official language of the nation where they are to be served; in this case, Switzerland requires that the documents be translated into the official language of the Canton where they are to be served. The city where documents are to be served determines the language (German, French or Italian). We offer translation services at rates quoted below.

Translation: $0.35 excl. VAT per word (proper nouns not translated) Note: GERMAN is the primary language, although some regions speak French or Italian

Depending on the case, in the event of success, the costs incurred can be recovered from the target person if necessary.
