On some of our investigation services a fixed fee is possible.  Background Check or Business Intelligence Report is an example of this where a fixed fee is paid. Other services such as covert surveillance, crime investigation, asset tracing, due diligence, dormant accounts investigation... on the other hand don’t lend well to a fixed fee as it is not known how many hours and travel Km will be needed to gather the evidence you need.  To help you with this, you can block book our hours, so that costs are affordable.

 

Sometimes, without a primary investigation, it is not possible to provide a flat fee, project costs or definitive time frame. The scope of a primary investigation may be very restricted or may constitute the entire investigation. A primary investigation is critical to the success of any subsequent investigative efforts. The primary investigation costs between CHF 1'500.- and CHF 3'500.- within 15 working days.

The typical retainer fee for investigators and detectives could be anywhere from CHF 1'000.- to CHF 50'000.- which depends on what kind of case you have and whom you have selected as your investigator. A private investigator's office retainer fee can be the initial down payment toward your total bill, or it can also be a type of reservation fee to reserve a private investigator's office exclusively for your services within a certain period of time.

We consider that the investigative and detective fees must be adjusted to the needs of the client and the specificities of the case, and therefore our clients should have clear and transparent alternatives. If it is possible and if we have the necessary information, we provide a fee quote online within 24 hours. The choice you make can be confirmed online with a simple, straightforward retainer agreement.

The Alternatives with advance “purchase” of 5/10/20/30 hours of services, valid for an agreed period, at agreed rates are:

1. Classical Fees

Fieldwork Mileage costs: CHF 1.25 / Km. excl. VAT. for the total distance traveled from our Head Office to the investigation site and back. It takes into account both the outbound and return journeys, the total mileage incurred during a single assignment. This is an effective way to ensure that we are properly reimbursed for the costs associated with transportation.

Express orders (On-Call Service / Pikettdienst) within 24 hours will be charged additionally CHF 250.- excl. VAT, and express orders (on-call service) within 48 hours will be charged additionally CHF 175.- excl. VAT, and express orders (on-call service) within 72 hours will be charged additionally CHF 125.- excl. VAT. Payment according to Art. 7. GSTC

 

Invoicing and prices

1) Due to personnel and organizational considerations, any fieldwork, surveillance, or monitoring activities conducted outside the office will incur a baseline charge of a Minimum of 4 hours, inclusive of travel time.

2) Any form of office work or communication, be it E-Mail, SMS, Call, Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, Signal, Telegram, etc., will be charged a Minimum of 15 minutes.

3) Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Contract, Retainer Invoice or Quotation, the standard rate is CHF 250 per hour, excluding VAT. 

4) Should there be any agreed-upon flat fees, they will be specified in the Agreement, Contract, Retainer Invoice, or Quotation.

It is important for Private Investigator Switzerland to inform interested parties about our prices before they place an order, which is why we publicly disclose the costs of our services and terms and conditions for invoicing.

2. Fixed Fee
Where possible due to the nature of the matter, agreement of fixed delivery time and price.

3. Budget Fee
Similar to the fixed fee, but the agreed amount is defined for a specific activity and a specific period.

4. Result Reward Fee / Success Fee
Classical invoicing at an agreed reduced rate to be adjusted as per agreed criteria on the achieved result. (Private Investigator Switzerland works in Legal Sector, and pure contingency fee is not permitted by the Swiss Federation of Lawyers). The result reward fee or success fee can be agreed upon the case fees. The success fee can be agreed and owed only in addition to the agreed case fee if the 'success' also occurs. For example: If we find or locate CHF 1'500'000.-, then we will receive a success fee of 13% of the sum that exceeds CHF 1'000'000.-
